Mohammed Kasujee has over 35 years’ experience in the field of conveyancing, having worked for both high street firms and Legal 500 firms. He has dealt with all aspects of residential and commercial property conveyancing. In residential conveyancing, Mohammed has advised on freehold and leasehold sales, purchases and remortgages. This includes new build and plot sales, shared ownership, equity release mortgages, and Islamic Sharia‑compliant finance. He is often instructed by high‑net‑worth clients and regularly acts on complex transactions. In commercial property, Mohammed has advised on a wide range of acquisitions and disposals, commercial property transactions, leases and Landlord & Tenant matters, option agreements, overage agreements, promotion agreements, and road haulage agreements. His recent caseload involves handling the purchase of low, medium and high‑value properties, including land for development, retail units, restaurants, takeaways, gymnasiums, care homes and petrol stations. His clients include developers selling new‑build plot properties, small and large companies, property investors, and the trustees and governors of charities and private schools. Mohammed has witnessed significant changes in the house‑moving process, from face‑to‑face completions and the handing over of banker’s drafts in exchange for property keys to the current era of rapid technological advancement. He has worked closely with software and IT developers to introduce new systems and processes that utilise the latest technology, helping to make the conveyancing journey as smooth and efficient as possible for clients. Away from work, Mohammed enjoys participating in and watching most sports, supporting local community projects, and is an avid armchair chef.
